A place to think about composition in photography

Adrian Nixon

Hello, welcome to the blog.  I am a landscape photographer based in Yorkshire, in England.  I have been seriously interested in Photography since 1981 when I was kindly given an SLR camera as a present.

In 1984 I achieved the Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society

Landscape photography appeals to me because it combines my love of walking with a love of capturing what I see and sharing this with others.  This blog and the associated books are about communicating my understanding of what makes a memorable image.  Feel free to add your comments.  I have learned that understanding is enhanced when we share our opinions.

  1. These are seriously lovely photographs that reveal England to be a country full of wonderful places despite all the tat we have put in its way in the name of progress. I can’t wait to see the book!

Hi Adrian, the crack in the universe is totally awesome. I am just starting to build my own comedy website and will be developing a theme around cracks, in sidewalks, in the sky, and in our lives. If I credited you, might I use your universe photo with the crack? (I’m in Canada…in case that is of interest.)

    • Hi Diana, Yes of course please feel free to use the universe photo, glad you liked it. Good luck with the comedy website. I’ll have a look through my collection and see if I can find more crack photos for you. Oh, and although I live in the UK part of what I do is working for a Canadian Publisher called Investorintel I write about new technologies such as graphene. If interested here’s a link https://investorintel.com/author/adrian-nixon/
